Designed and built in Egypt: water treatment solutions from study to operation
We design, supply and build water, municipal and industrial wastewater, and desalination treatment systems using equipment we developed and manufacture locally, and we complete the solution with operation, maintenance and technical support.

Biological TreatmentBioMotix
Rotating biological treatment unit with 3D biomedia; the large model treats 500 m³/d using only about 1.8 kW.
DetailsNew
Sludge TreatmentSolidLiq
Decanter that separates sludge from water at nearly 1,400 times gravity; instead of hauling 20 tonnes of water, you haul one tonne of sludge.
Details
Mixing & AerationTurboTube
Aeration diffuser that releases air through a single large orifice and mixes it internally with water and sludge using a helical flow and fine separators; non-clogging, with no moving parts.
Details
Biological TreatmentBioJet
Biological treatment unit enclosed within pipes — no odours, no noise, and near-zero sludge production.
Details
Biological TreatmentHyper MBBR
Decouples mixing from aeration in MBBR reactors, reducing energy consumption and stabilising the biofilm.
Details
Desalination & SeawaterAquaPharos
Marine intake and outfall head with 360° horizontal entry at 0.08–0.15 m/s that protects fish and reduces sediment intake; the same unit also serves as a brine outfall.
Details
Sludge TreatmentCrowned Belt Press
Belt press with crowned rollers that keep the belt self-centred, extending its life by 30% and reducing energy and polymer consumption.
Details
Separation, Settling & FlotationDAF
Fine bubbles attach to contaminants and lift them to the surface, removing suspended solids, oils and grease at 95–97% efficiency.
Details
Mixing & AerationHyper Mixer
Hyperboloid mixer that generates strong bottom currents with minimal energy while preserving flocs and sensitive biological processes.
DetailsNew
Mixing & AerationOxyJet
Dissolves pure oxygen into a water spray at 2–6 bar, producing water carrying 100–240 mg/L of dissolved oxygen for irrigation, fertigation and fry transport.
Details
Separation, Settling & FlotationHydrocyclone
Centrifugal separation of oil from produced water, with no moving parts and one-tenth the footprint of conventional systems.
Details
Desalination & SeawaterRejeRec
Recovers water from brackish-water RO (BWRO) desalination brine through staged salt precipitation, using less energy than evaporation and crystallisation.
Details
Separation, Settling & FlotationCurved Screen
Curved bar screen with a rotating cleaning rake for coarse screening at the head of the treatment line, for channels up to 3 m deep.
Details
Separation, Settling & FlotationHydroSieve
Stainless-steel mechanical fine screen for removing fibres and solid particles from industrial wastewater.
Details
Separation, Settling & FlotationPipe Flocculator
Multi-stage coagulation inside helical pipes — no electricity, no moving parts, and a far smaller footprint than coagulation tanks.
Details
Biological TreatmentMBBR Bio Media
HDPE media with a specific surface area of 550 m²/m³ and UV resistance, for MBBR and IFAS reactors.
DetailsFrom engineering drawing to a new Egyptian generation of RBC systems
BioMotix is an advanced local alternative to conventional rotating biological contactors: 3D biomedia instead of flat discs, and direct atmospheric oxygen instead of energy-intensive mechanical aeration.

Engineering • Manufacturing • Construction • O&M
We develop our equipment through reverse engineering backed by research and innovation, and manufacture it in Maskoub's factories. The result is equipment that performs on par with imports, at lower cost, with spare parts and technical support close at hand.
Local manufacturing with import-equivalent performance, without import overheads.
Equipment designed for local water characteristics and environmental conditions.
Maintenance and operator training, from design through operation.

From concept to prototype to testing
We develop our equipment through reverse engineering and engineering design, then test it before release. Here are examples of work currently under way.
TurboTubeA hydrodynamic diffuser prototype running in a transparent test tank at the Maskoub workshop. Next stage: measuring oxygen transfer efficiency, alpha factor and air-side pressure loss.
Engineering design — Revision B
SolidLiqRedesign of the decanter's rotating assembly using bolted forged and cast parts instead of a welded frame, with dynamic balancing of the rotor.
Planned CFD simulation
AquaPharosMarine intake and outfall head in three standard sizes under design, with CFD studies of velocity distribution and pressure loss.
Engineering that reduces energy, transport and environmental impact
Each product addresses a specific aspect of environmental impact; here we note only what relates to the product's own design.
In BioMotix, the bacteria are exposed to the air as the unit rotates, so treatment requires no blowers; reference consumption is 87.5 W per m³/h.
SolidLiq thickens the sludge and returns the separated water to the plant, reducing the quantity hauled for disposal.
AquaPharos draws water horizontally at low velocity — the principle used to reduce fish impingement at seawater intakes.
TurboTube has no moving or porous parts, and our equipment is manufactured and serviced locally, extending its operating life.
